Abstract:
The legal subproject addresses emerging legal and policy challenges. Its tasks are to create guidance for the platform’s compliance with data protection laws with particular regard to data processing rules addressing data accessibility and data sharing. In addition, the legal sub-project aims to identify gaps in existing legislation, and analyse emerging laws and regulations to determine whether they close these gaps. Furthermore, another objective of the subgroup is to initiate the creation of mid-level sector-specific rules to be taken up by the relevant stakeholders and decision-makers.
Tasks:
- Ensure that personal and sensitive data is collected, processed and stored in line with applicable data privacy and data protection standards.
- Ensure that the data use, access and sharing of the project are compliant with the various health data processing laws in the participating countries.
- Provide legal guidance for the establishment of an integrated data visualisation platform and interface for academic or industrial requests.
- Provide legal guidance for the design of decision-making processes and data access arrangements for academic and industrial requests.
